My Final Class
When I first began taking this course, I had hoped to be better prepared for collaboration in the workplace and to develop a better understanding of my individual skills and career path. I definitely think I have a more clear sense of my career path now because I was given the opportunity to dissect my talents and interests and relate them to a career field. I knew that I wanted to study finance, but when I learned why my interests and abilities led to that is when my career path became more clear. Now that I am finished with Business 2001, I will continue working my way towards a degree in finance. I was also begin to think about my accelerated MBA which will start after my junior year. So far we have only met as a group once to discuss how the program is going and I look forward to learning more about how that will look in the coming months. My search for a job will begin with an internship this summer. I have one interview lined up for Friday for Financial Advisory Services of Kansas City. I was able to find this internship through my network that I created at the University of Tulsa. My friend's dad is the Vice President of the company and I was able to contact him through my friend. I was very fortunate to find this internship and I will definitely have to work harder to find my next one, but maybe I will have more luck in the future. As for my blog, I will continue to update it as news of my education and business career progress. It was good to have experience typing professionally and I will continue to build that skill as I work my way through school. #TUBusinessCareers #GoTU #TUCareerPrep
